Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a writer and American actress active in theatre as well as television and film. She started acting on stage and then appeared in independent, mainstream and television series. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she received critical acclaim and various nominations and awards including the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. Her professional acting debut with the character Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Alongside the Broadway production Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In terms of her film career, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. She is also well-known for her role on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
