Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota - journalist, author, host of CNN's "New day" morning show, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected to the Westport Country Playhouse board. Camerota, who has been journalist for more than thirty years, was a reporter for news and events across the globe and nationally. She was awarded one Emmy Award in her early journalistic career, for her coverage of the detention by Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award after she broke the devastating news of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone, of Stamford has been named an Honorary Trustees for her work on the Board of Trustees since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport has been appointed chair of the Board following her tenure on the board from 2013. Czekaj Farber takes over from Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident who served as acting chairperson since the end of October 2015. The board chair continues to serve as a board member, beginning in 2006. There are 26 trustees on the board at The Playhouse.
