Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - - January 19 2008) was an American film, theatre television, and voice actress. Pleshette began her career in theatre, and she appeared in films in the 1950s and later. She was later featured in films that were notable, such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Then, she appeared in various television productions and was often an actor in guest roles. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978 and received a number of Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette is the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born January 31, 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of the couple were Jewish, children of immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage manager at both the Paramount Theater and the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
